I read Sirius' post about the role-play rules and conduct whilst in a mission. I thought that this was a very thoughtful thread and a pretty useful guide.
However, I think we could perhaps have a stronger system regarding hitpoints maybe?
What if, you lose hitpoints and have to regain them over time? Force heal can speed up this process, but you gain 1 hitpoint per week to recover.
What if certain force curses or diseases occur, to convey this illness or inability to cure it, you would be capped at a limited amount of hitpoints, say 1/2 of what you have, or lose 1 level of all of your force abilities - these handicaps could add dynamics to the role-play and prevent people from going hero perhaps?
Force curses/diseases could be an RP punishment in which an NPC (played by a Knight+) inflicts a drain that inhibits the Jedi's abilities for a short time.
Furthermore, what if you could request to gain hitpoints by asking for a special RP mission, if you succeed you could gain 1/2 of a life, or 1/4 of a life depending on the difficulty of the mission. If you lose a mission, you could lose 1/2 of a life temporarily- these can stack and be resolved through training perhaps?
There could obviously be a cap on lives, say 10 or something; that seems like a lot- but for a Council Member, that goes to show that they are agile and difficult to kill. You would automatically receive 6, but you could work your way up to the full 10 hitpoints?
Just some thoughts, they might not appeal to everyone and admittedly it is a little more busy work and checking on people having these lives, but it could add some diversity and a little more realism to future RP's
