Fight and Flight - The genesis weapon



As a new day dawns on coruscant, debris floats above in the atmosphere after the recent space battle. The imperial 721st fleet was rendered immovable after multiple ion strikes as galactic alliance cruisers that had just hyperspaced into the system. The resulting lapse allowed the massive genesis cannon to float into orbit of the planet just as an alliance invasion force landed to liberate the planet.

Imperial forces bravely held their ground but within hours they had retreated to a shield protected jedi temple. As enemy forces sped towards the temple the genesis weapon was fired by Admiral Atlas of the galactic alliance, The result was an amazing growth of life turning the once vast cityscape of coruscant into a huge forest planet, the only place seeming unaffected lay under the shield of the jedi temple in which reports say the dead even came back to life. This sounds like the stuff of horror novels however they were not the undead but merely revived? Imperial forces are still questioning whether this weapon has had any negative effects on the planet.

Shortly after the firing of the weapon the successor to the imperial throne arrive on the battlefield on the newly constructed first fleet of the imperial navy, The galactic alliance quickly fled when the opportunity was given... More on this story as it develops.

Peace treaty

Following the chaos the imperials have requested the signing of a new ceasefire treaty with the galactic alliance, this is to be overseen on an imperial cruiser later on in the week.
